surprised
I am surprised that most of the recommendations are for a Gerald Genta watch when the OP asked for a Patek. What is Patek-ish about the Nautilus? Absolutely nothing. You get the sense that Stern cringes every time Patek makes one, which is why he limits the production of this watch.
I recommend the 5296G, a sector dial Calatrava auto with date. I semi agree with amnico's recommendation of 5196P but the merits of this watch are lacking if you compare it to the basic Lange Saxonia and Patek's asking price of nearly 40k makes the 5196P a worse deal than a subprime mortgage credit default swap.
the worldtime is probably the second best candidate for a patek-ish patek daily wearer but it suffers from being too techno gadget like. A patek is about upper class understatement, distinguished refinement and discretion. The 5130 worldtime is a gadget, its worldtime function is too practical and utilitarian; its basically the casio calculator watch of the pre quartz era, and whats classy about that?!
Frankly, the OP has excellent taste. speedy pro, (I am assuming you have the plexi manual wind moonwatch) Reverso GT, rolex sea dweller demonstrate great judgement and you should just trust your instincts. My sense is that you really want a patek because you have heard that it is the most "prestigious" but you havent found a patek that has called out to your inner watch savant, so you are reaching out to us in desperation, hoping that we can point out a Patek that you missed and lead you to the land of patek horological enlightenment.
Trust your instincts, OP.
