It is a great time piece with a very useful complication. If you want something more simple go with the standard 3-hander. Some people feel the am/pm indicator is a bit "quirky" but IMO it's great. I have red, white and blue rubber straps. It looks great on the rubber strap as well as the bracelet. Good luck with your choice.

I like the 3- hander, however the blue dial has a white datewheel and that’s a distraction for me. The silver dial is less of an issue.
Blue is my favorite color, so that’s the draw towards a blue dial.
Larry, i think this dual time is one of the best looking Oversea in the collection and the dial is not too busy (I would argue that the time only time is too boring!!!)
I like the way the day is displayed and i much prefer it as well to all the other choices you mentioned. I dont think you can go wrong.
The more that I look at that dial, I feel the same as you. The pusher at 5pm is a big plus from a design perspective.

In that case, the GP L will likely be redundant. I encourage you to still try on the Ingenieur. But yes, I agree, there is no contest between the IWC and VC movement. Enjoy the hunt! 👍🏻
