I picked up a Tonda PF microrotor a couple years back, probably my most worn watch. But with no lume, super thin, and platinum accents, agreed it does not feel entirely "sporty". As a daily though, I wear it quite often.
Now I too have been intrigued by the Overseas, and am in the process of trading in several pieces (not the PF!) for a 4000v Moonphase Retrograde Date.
Also not entirely "sporty", but I think the PF and the 4000v will be perfect complements, and will go to my Seamaster and Seikos when needed.
The dual time is high on the list too, but I just love the dial of the 4000v!
BTW, there is a newer version of the dual time, 7920v (opposed to 7900v). The newer is slightly thinner and comes with a tapered bracelet.

I like the 3- hander, however the blue dial has a white datewheel and that’s a distraction for me. The silver dial is less of an issue.
Blue is my favorite color, so that’s the draw towards a blue dial.
Larry, i think this dual time is one of the best looking Oversea in the collection and the dial is not too busy (I would argue that the time only time is too boring!!!)
I like the way the day is displayed and i much prefer it as well to all the other choices you mentioned. I dont think you can go wrong.
The more that I look at that dial, I feel the same as you. The pusher at 5pm is a big plus from a design perspective.

In that case, the GP L will likely be redundant. I encourage you to still try on the Ingenieur. But yes, I agree, there is no contest between the IWC and VC movement. Enjoy the hunt! 👍🏻
