for somebody like you that must be bad fact. Have you actually ever had the desire to ride an MVA? It's never late to give one a try .

...nothing much, Bim. The original F4 was a pretty bike that made nice noises, but not really very satisfying. And it's seat was hotter than a 916 I was lucky enough to have a ride on a 1000 a couple of years ago, not very far and not very fast.... Way to...

well my good friend mr Bim, it was designed by the same man, the famous Mr Tamborini (is that how you spell it ?). quite a lot of iconic designers only have 1 style inside them and follow it through their career. look at the XK8 and DB9. G

What city was that? I only really know it from the Shizuoka area. It's almost the same view I normally see (the three peaks on top). Assuming it might be from the opposite side. I don't know that lake. This message has been edited by mrsnak on 2011-03-27 ...

Honda make bikes that are supremely easy to ride from novice to expert and the CBR600 has to be the best of the bunch. its fast, handles beautifully, looks good, sounds good and isnt overly expensive. no point spending a lot on the first bike just in case... 

That's precisely what I took from the many reviews I've read over the past year or two. I took a liking for the website and the way they did their reviews, but if you've got another highly credible source please share it! The Honda CBR is the bike that so...  

well Filip, personally i think you've got to be extremely good to get 100% out of a CBR600. ask our other filip who owned one for several years. i was lucky enough to be an advanced police driver and motorcyclist and i think the only bikes i got more than...  

it certainly helps a lot . What I am interested in is why would you say that the Honda is so much easier to manage than the MVA? That's one thing that boggles my mind.

i dont know if its easier to manage, but Honda have a reputation for making bikes that are easy to handle and ride fast without needing a long time to get used to them unlike some other bikes. G

parts and service is readily available with a Honda. Maybe try a Suzuki SV650 for a first bike? -MW

Hi Filip and Graham, Graham might be completely right what concerns THE CBR .... BUT .... you should buy THE bike you like most .... which is THE one you like to ride THE most .... . Therefore you should absolutely try Some Ducatis, especially THE 848 and...

Le Bim is totally right, but cheap means no Ducati's i think. lots of cheap 600's around as people tend to trade up after a couple of years although i dont know why when you consider the power they have now. enjoy the hunt G

600 GSXR from 2008 and it felt very very very strong compared to my 1993 and 1996 600 CC Honda and Bimota ... . Personally right now i would opt for à Ducati 1100 Hypermotard ... S**TLOADS of torque and serious fun .. . though i can understand your need f...

Aprilia SVX Motard, which is good fun on 17" wheels. But not for long, the seat hurts and then the engine goes bang And also its big brother, the Dorsoduro...which is scary when you stop at the lights as I dooubt I could pick it up and you don't look too ... 

i have a soft spot for Aprilia as well. one of my favourite bikes was my Pegaso 650 single. the first model, not the one they later ruined. bomb proof Rotax engine with 5 valve head, with Michelin MT50's on it it handled brilliantly on the road and pretty...

I loved the RSV. I even got to play with the RSV Factory. But the example I tried had the suspension either set by someone who weighed 120kg (no sag at all with my weight) or an idiot. But such a compact, growly bike. That said, I don't have any desire to... 

buy one Bim, you know how much banks like lenders and hate people without debt anyway, bankrupsy is an illusion caused by lack of credit status, i know as i've looked the illusion in the face, laughed at it and walked away BTW are you not receiving emails...  

...but as Graham wrote, it's a combination of engine mapping, suspension settings (for 90% of riders/roads), ergonomics and general refinement. A flawed analogy is 348 v NSX. Flawed because bikes require magnitudes more user input than cars - I can't thin...

i do appreciate your approach to form over function, but sports bikes are more difficult to ride slowly despite their beauty the brutale is a good choice, but you could buy American with the Buell Ulysses which is a stunning naked bike with a beautiful ch...

i'm in no fit state to ride a bike anymore for a number of reasons mainly to do with injury and medication, but all of this talk has got me looking through the supermotards on the autotrader site and there are so many really great looking bikes on the mar...
