5098P opinions..
First, I think the watch is stunning, the dial, hands, case...beautiful re-creation of a reference produced long ago circa 1920. That being said, I think there would be others who would opt for other references before the 5098P particularly if you did not own any other Pateks. If you did own several other references though and wanted to add a different style, then the 5098 is something to seriously consider. As to the movement, seemed to be some controversy regarding whether it was a new rectangular movement or a modification of an existing movement. My decision to acquire the watch however would not be heavily influenced by the movement (it is a Patek after all) alone as the style of the watch is the feature which would be desirable or not.
What is the general opinion of the 5098P?
I am no expert on Patek Philippe, but I am wondering what the PP aficionados here think of the 5098P within the context of the Patek collection. Is this a well regarded model? For those of you who have bought it or considered it and then passed, what do y...

its beautiful but a bit small
and I think the price for the Pt is pretty expensive compared to the gold version.
This model is not my cup of tea...................
I am not a fan of the shape of dial or the slightly oversized numbers. I would much rather go for the 5124G
