Patek Philippe

Agree as well, this definitely feels very pro PP but hey, it's the PP forum and written by a PP fan/owner so I'm not sure I'd expect too much different

I appreciate the thoughts and the post from the perspective of a long time PP customer and I somewhat agree I guess my conclusion is different. It sounds like the conclusion of OPs thoughts are PP has done what they can within reason and so carry on, nothing to see here. From reading this my thoughts are the opposite, PP has been doing the same thing the same way for decades and has not evolved to do anything really different even though the market has changed dramatically so it sounds to me like they need to consider changes to meet the market today.

If it were me, I would start with the ADs. History or loyalty shouldn't prevent PP from meeting customers where they are today and managing the end distribution and customer experience. In 1854 we didn't have the internet, google translate, and fedex, using 1854 as a justification for the modern AD network and of how PP should honor tradition and operate today is just kinda silly. That kind of thinking is holding them back and part of the reason AP is eating their lunch while also cutting their doors and going boutique only. I'm neither a PP fan or hater but if I wanted PP to survive and prosper, I don't think doing nothing is the answer.
