IMHO:
To achieve that you have to approach a different value system.
Watches are not the most important things in the world.
If I don't get something, it's not the end of the world either.
If an AD offers me a watch that I don't want and the AD makes me feel that if I don't buy this watch I will have disadvantages, then I would tell him: Well, if I really have disadvantages if I don't buy this watch, then I won't buy anything from you anymore. If you're not loyal to me, even though I've proven loyalty over the years, then I don't have to be loyal to you either. Very easily.

But I also have to say that I'm lucky that this has never happened to me, at least not with my AD.
