After owning several Pateks (5070G, 5980/1A, 5711/1A, 5109J), ALS, VC, Roger Dubuis, IWC, Daniel Roth, Harry Winston and other haute horologerie brands, I am somehow ashamed to admit in front of this knowleadgeable community that this DD is my ever favourite. It is a perfect blend of prestige, looks, reliability, robustness, over and understatement in the same time. What else to say? I love it!

I absolutely love the Rolex DD on the first picture. And i would add a black or dark blue other watch with it, for contrast. If i were you, i would add the Rolex Submariner no-date with the black dial.

But I would upgrade to the Day-Date 40. Why? Because its the sharpest DD out there and it has got the perfect (mens) size. And I\'d choose the olive green dial. It looks fresh. I might even put that dial in my Day-Date some day! Have fun deciding! ...

If you can swing it, trade the silver dd36 for a dd40. You can do the awesome quadrant silver dial with Roman's. Now, get the TT blue sub and you have the lovely blue dial. That makes a great 2 watches.
