If it was up to me....hmm..well
I think the best option would be to either save up for or trade for the DD 40 WG with olive green dial. It just does something to my senses that would make me trade (I never trade :o) and that dial looks amazing in person. Again see the piece in person as it is a must, if you are used to the 36 then a 40 might be too large.
If it was something other than Rolex, then a Vacheron 
but I do have to give a shout out for the Cartier Diver Blue, as it won out in a wrist match vs other pieces this summer for me and I ended up adding it to the collection :o

But I would upgrade to the Day-Date 40. Why? Because its the sharpest DD out there and it has got the perfect (mens) size. And I\'d choose the olive green dial. It looks fresh. I might even put that dial in my Day-Date some day! Have fun deciding! ...

If you can swing it, trade the silver dd36 for a dd40. You can do the awesome quadrant silver dial with Roman's. Now, get the TT blue sub and you have the lovely blue dial. That makes a great 2 watches.
