Wise thoughts...

The 118209 has been a loyal and very reliable companion to me for more than a decade. I share many memories with this watch. Perhaps I should consider if - in order to "mark a milestone" (as you wrote) - I really want to dispose of all that...

The DD36 (symbolizing my "history") combined with a new fresh watch (symbolizing the future) - perhaps that's really the best solution?

And it seems many Purist friends (Seamaster2254, Nicolas, alexxelor...) would keep the DD36 too.

On the other hand I always dream of reducing my collection to the "essence". Just keeping the watches I really "need" and really want to wear 24 hours 7 days a week.

I have already done a radical reduction of my collection some years ago ending up to 10 pieces I really love, bought my PP 5246G annual calendar and felt .... easier and happy. Kind of ... yes: "freed".

But it seems I'm too weak and - obviously - addicted. Because my collection has been growing again...

Best, Thomas
