TimeOut

Wow, talk about being spoiled...

but that would be wasted on me.
Before the second coffee of the morning I don't think I would notice anything.
I am running a full automatic from Saeco, one of the big Italien white wares manufacturers who supply the "innerds" for almost all of the automatic expresso machines.
It hits the obligatory 7.5 gramms coffee pretty exactly and even without being able to regulate the water temperature does a very good job.
It was bought pretty soon after the automatics took over the market completely here and nothing else was available.
In the mean time it is again possible to find better manual machines without going to a specialty shop.

As to coffee being fresh, that is a must.
My favorate used to be La Semeuse, roasted at 1000 meters in La Chaux-de-Fonds, they claim they can roast at a lower temperature at such high altitude.
Now my favorite is Cafefaro which is roasted in Biel just across the street from the old Bulova development offices, where the Accutron was developed.
Just walking into the place is a pleasure, roasting on the premises, you get served either by the owner Mr. Faro himself or his daughter.
Such good coffee makes it worth while getting up in the morning.
