I know that you are eagerly waiting for the reports to discover with more details the novelties. I'm just back from Geneva today with thousands of pictures to sort, to edit etc...
I propose you as a teaser my collection of wristshots of the 2013 novelties shot during the SIHH. I could shoot them all except the Grande Complication (pictures were not allowed) and the 1815 Rattrapante PC in PT.
I found the Lange 2013 collection really excellent:
- the 1815 up and down is a very attractive watch : power reserve indicator changes the dial lay-out and the watch becomes more spicy without losing its elegance.
- I was expecting a dark dial for the new Grand Lange 1: wishes come true!
- I already presented in details the Grand Lange 1 Lumen
- the Saxonia Automatic 38,5mm with set bezel is dedicated to men who want to wear a more precious wach: there is clearly a market for this kind of watch. I prefer the ladies version with MOP dial.
- the Saxonia Annual Calendar is now available in PT with a rhodiumed silver dial which makes it nicer than the WG version
- the 1815 Rattrapante PC is my fav watch of the whole SIHH: it is beautiful with a very legible dial and of course the movement is pure candy for the eyes.
- and... to be honest with you, I was expecting the presentation of the Grande Complication next year for the 20th anniversary of the first collection or in 2015, 2 centuries after 1815. Lange created a huge (in any sense of the adjective) surprise. I could see it but not handle nor shoot it. This watch, especially thanks to the presence of the Grande Sonnerie and the combination of the complications, reinforces, if needed, the presence of Lange amongst the top Manufactures.
We will come back obviously about these watches during the upcoming weeks.
