Fully agree with you my friend.
It’s lazy in terms of design work. I’ve also said it before about sheep mentality. I’m careful not to follow wherever the brands lead. I prefer to be independent. Also beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. Perfectly normal for me to prefer the nautilus over this or some other watch for that matter. Life will be too boring if we agree with everything people say. I’m sure part of the beauty in watch collecting lies in the diversification of our tastes and the difference in rigour when we collect. To those who say I need to see it in the flesh to truly understand it, well…I do have a rebuttal. I think I’ve had over two decades of experience in watch collecting. I might miss some of the nuances but I don’t think I’ll ever lose sight of the big picture. This watch is clearly a no to me in terms of design.

IMO, all watches need to be seen in the
metal before judgement can be passed ! Same for Cubitus. A friend who is in the watch biz was amazed on how good 5822P looked in the metal on his small wrist.
