Of course you know what I'm going to say about the city ring given the slightly crazy idea I put forward in another thread today, regarding custom-printed city rings (Hey, Mr Stern - you heard it all here first. Happy to sell you my services as a creative consultant!). My one criticism here is that some of the kerning/spacing seems a bit odd - who knew that "Hong Kong Brisbane Marshall" is a place?
The lugs are yummy.
The new hands - I wasn't sure at first but they're growing on me.
The guilloched portion of the dial - oh yes, even if to my eyes the 5110 is still the nec plus ultra. And really good to know Patek is using a proper rose engine, not stamping this - although it is what I would expect from them.
And best of all, the case has actually decreased in diameter to a very sensible size! Brilliant!
This is one I'll be very excited to see in the metal.

about the size of the pusher, my post was out of sequence and I was actually passing comment on the new 5230 having a larger button to advance the time zone - 5131R is unchanged.
Overall I like it a lot.
In particular the guilloche dial is beautifully done and I love the lugs. I am not yet convinced by the case - it does seem very angular from the photos, maybe it will feel less so in the metal.
I think the case box whithout lugs

I share your feelings about the proportions of the city ring and the dial.
And that is one of the attractions of the 5930 for me (apart from the addition of the chrono). The dial looks to be a better size.
