Well, I think it would be nice indeed but I see several issues
Do we get WT watches for the usefulness first (over size or beauty criteria), for beauty/elegance/refinement first etc... (over improved usefulness) or for technical achievement/complication level first (no matter the size but because we want the most technical movement) ?
This is I think choices the brand has to make.
For instance, VC you mention has a 42.5x11.62mm case and GO an even more significant 44x14mm (that's quite significant). The 5230 is 38.5x10mm as a reminder.
This is a huge difference (the new 5930 reference is 39.5x12.86mm for instance but with the additional chronograph complication).
So, you can put 37 cities but you have to increase the case's dimensions. You can put more complicated but need wider and thicker case.
Does Patek wants to do that? I never asked but from their offering I think they do 24 because they decided to keep watches smaller as this is what a lot of Patek client are looking for; the fact that cases remain smaller or thinner than usual. It's a choice.
It also allows to make more elegant ones and more refined. And maybe more discreet or other proportions on the wrist.
Not saying one is better than the other, just that it is not compatible doing both.
The choice of cities is certainly something easier to manage. I'm sure that if you contact them, they may think about it for the future, pondering it with other clients' wishes of course. A question to consider seriously indeed.
Thanks for sharing your opinion!
Cheers, Mark

I might do the same as Kari, regarding the platinum version, or alternatively fetch a new 5130P, as long as it will still be possible. That is assuming my secret project will not materialise with another WT. I find the 5130/5110 case shape more beautiful ...

do think the revised cities are not as clearly differentiated as on previous 5110 and 5130 iterations, some names could be shortened as was previously done or possibly a very slightly smaller font? This issue looks to be further highlighted on the revised...

Mark, thank you for this. Of course you know what I'm going to say about the city ring given the slightly crazy idea I put forward in another thread today, regarding custom-printed city rings (Hey, Mr Stern - you heard it all here first. Happy to sell you...
It's my pleasure!

It is not a crazy idea, it would be great in fact but I just wondered in previous answers I made if it was possible. You should write a letter to Patek, suggestions are always good to hear, who knows, they may follow you! Funny that lugs are quite not the...

I'm eager to know if my first impressions are confirmed in the metal. Even for each novelties I would say but especially this one and the 5930 as they are brand new. Sometimes it is also a question of smoothness of lines and finishing (the way edges are s...

but I managed to try on the 5230 and 5930 last night at a function at an AD and while some present preferred the 5930, I personally felt that the 5230 was a lot more wearable not just because of its diameter but because the height of the 5930 at 12.8mm is...

We have similar taste. I know the 5110P gets a lot of press but I have always preferred the 5110R which I think is the most elegant and has the warmest colour of the 5110 range. If I had to choose between the two, I would opt for the 5230G because firstly...
