I agree with your commentary here. Many things can be thought of somewhere and assembled elsewhere. What this means for things of quality and overall product could be variable. A facility that has complete assembly control at their own facility I would imagine pays closer attention to the quality of work. Similar to watches - a manufacturer who makes and assembles things in house vs many pieces being made elsewhere or assembled in house vs just a design studio coming up with their product and everything made outsourced. Many watch manufacturers used renaud et papi for example to make their movements. Or many independent getting stuff from elsewhere and assembling on their own.
As for luggage I don’t know as important as say vs a watch that would be since they have far fewer pieces and seem like an easier construction principle. Stuff to think about ! I liked the style of this brand and it just came up on a google search. Since I hadn’t heard of it I was wondering if anyone had. Maybe it is a newer more design studio. It does seem like quality components. I may give them a shot since a couple pieces will be for my little kids I’m not keen on getting them $1200 carry on pieces. Additionally I kind of wanted to get a whole set of all our family luggage being the same. I may get a carry on and checked piece and see how they are before getting 4 or 5 pieces.
Overall, good things to think about and likely minutiae that only people like us in the watch world (or any hobby) really think about 😂

Yes. 52 vs 53 is fairly substantial difference.
The extra 3 centimeters deep is definitely substantial in my eyes. In my packing style I can fit significantly more in the larger case.
