WS edition for weekend starting Friday 27th is Open Now! Theme: "Three Watches that never fail to make me Smile!"

... Hello dear friends!

I'll have the pleasure to host this edition of our classic event WS starting today Friday 27th and ending Sunday 29th afternoon around 5 PM UTC.

I'm sure all our friends own at least one (and most probable several) watches which never fail to bring a big smile to their faces every time they strap them to their wrists.

The challenge is to share no more than three watches and tell us briefly the reasons they bring such a smile: probably a watch always provoking a big smile relates to a personal achievement, a connection with a close relative or friend, or an special event in our lives.

I wish this Theme will bring many participants sharing awesome timepieces and stories!

You may begin posting your entries in this same thread and as usual you may participate in any or all three categories:

Best wrist shot

Best Static shot

Best Watch of the Week

Those participants who wish to act as Volunteer Judges may contact me by PM. Judging is an interesting and enjoyable experience!

Look forward to a very enjoyable and interesting weekend viewing and reading the entries of our participants!

Best cordial regards,
Abel

PS: thank you so much dear Captain Scarlet for your kind help with the nice posters for our WS editions!

Here three watches in my collection which never fail … … to bring a big smile in my face when wearing them! My Rolex Submariner ref 1680 Red. This oldie reminds me my far youth in the mid 1960’s my early love for Rolex brand, my passion for becoming an Scuba diver and everything related to the U/W world. It a...

Wow 🤩 … Tremendous start to WristScan der Abel. Three that definitely made me smile just thinking about the combination. The vintage Red Sub is legendary and the Moonshine is one that got me as soon as I first looked at it. As for the Flightmaster, friendships ar...

Hello, dear Abel !.. You did it again, in bringing not one, but several up to many pics selected.. In a way, quite a smart move ! ;)) My personal fav is the Submariner 1680 Red, a real Classic ! Also liked the shot with the Astronaut quite a bit !.. But, but.. You cleverly presented 8 pics for the Sub alone, 4 for the Omega and 4 again for the Flightmaster !.. Really a thick ticket, but...

Well.. Let me see, of how to play within the boundaries of the theme.. So here my three choices ( tough call to decide within my stables); One caveat though: As so many here, I’m convinced, that most of us have a number of tic-tacs, which really make us smile.. For Humble me , to name a few, such as the Vintage Rolex 6542, m...

Introduced in 2010, the CHR 27-525 PS movement in this reference is a marvel of engineering being only 5.25 mm in height. This is all the more impressive considering it incorporates spilt seconds functionality. On top of this, it is a monopusher design with the pusher coaxial with the crown. Patek Philippe’s manual winding chronographs have always been special but this one dials it up to an eleven and to my mind, is one of the most beautiful chronographs made from any manufacturer.
