A better approach?
I would agree that a returned watch strap cannot be put back on the shelves as new or offered to another customer. While it would be technically correct therefore for Lange boutique to decline a exchange deal, the better pleasant alternative would be for them to throw a juicy nice new one at a jaw dropping discount of say 50%. That way you could enjoy the black one and kind of use it as a daily beater and then swap the new one when it is time!
This way it could be a win-win...
