From your posts I take it you've never purchased a watch from the boutique. So you aren't a VIP from their perspective. 


I would be delighted if they did offer to replace the strap but I wouldn't expect it, just as I wouldn't expect a dentist to accept an exchange on a toothbrush.  Hygiene is an issue. 

Basically you're complaining because they wouldn't give you a free strap, which is effectively the situation as they couldn't resell it. I consider that entitled behaviour. To then complain about it fits my definition of whining. 

I don't mean to be nasty or aggressive but I dislike the attitude on display here.  Lange doesn't owe you a free strap.
