It sounds like you really need to see both in the metal and try them on before choosing.
There's the look, the feel, the size, the experience of winding and setting, and most importantly how you feel.
With the prices involved, I think a flight to another city or even another continent is justified to see them both. As a bonus, you get the journey with the watch. For me, such experiences are all tied up with purchase decisions.
If it was me choosing, it would be zeitwerk, for the fantastic, beautiful original design, and the kinetic aspect of the minutes and hours changing. It reminds me of signs in train stations that flip to announce track assignments, something I never get tired of. In my view the zeitwerk is a design statement in a way the langematik pc is not.
As far as PCs, I would go for the platinum.
Not an easy choice between these two, but I happen to love the originalty of the zeitwerk.

It depends on what you are for: Traditional = PC, or original and then, Zeitwerk.
I would go for the PC. Because I am not very fan of the digital display of time, which reminds me the good old electric clocks. ;)

I must've just drew a blank that day. Moonphase! Thanks drgiggles! I agree, the two watches are very different from another. I personally prefer the ZW. But I have to admit, that it's not a watch that I can recommend without reservations to someone else.....

I'm curious, what are the specific Zeitwerk reliability problems that you've experienced or heard about? I did have an issue with the Striking Time stopping shortly after I first got it. The problem hasn't recurred since Lange fixed it.
Disc switching mechanism...
Discs sometimes get misaligned. Watches sometimes fail to tell the correct time completely when discs seize/stuck.
Interesting and thanks. I hadn't heard that before. I wonder if it still happens...
