You need to hold the Zeitwerk...
before purchasing it. I have one. It is big. I was lucky that my dealer had one for me to put on and play with and I determined it was not too big for me. If I couldn't have tried it on I would not have purchased it for fear of it being too big.
In addition, setting the time is a bit of a chore. You should try doing it and deciding if that's a problem for you.
Having said all that, I love it and would choose it over the Perpetual because of its uniqueness.

It depends on what you are for: Traditional = PC, or original and then, Zeitwerk.
I would go for the PC. Because I am not very fan of the digital display of time, which reminds me the good old electric clocks. ;)

I must've just drew a blank that day. Moonphase! Thanks drgiggles! I agree, the two watches are very different from another. I personally prefer the ZW. But I have to admit, that it's not a watch that I can recommend without reservations to someone else.....

I'm curious, what are the specific Zeitwerk reliability problems that you've experienced or heard about? I did have an issue with the Striking Time stopping shortly after I first got it. The problem hasn't recurred since Lange fixed it.
Disc switching mechanism...
Discs sometimes get misaligned. Watches sometimes fail to tell the correct time completely when discs seize/stuck.
Interesting and thanks. I hadn't heard that before. I wonder if it still happens...
