I got tremendous insight and help from this thread; I realize that I definitely need to be able to see and feel the Zeitwerk in metal and then be able to decide!
2 major ADs that I called up in NYC did not have any in stock; one said he is not getting any this year; the other one stated that he gets 2 or 3 WG Zeitwerks a year and he does not expect one until late this summer or fall. I have not checked with Lange boutique in Manhattan yet!
At this time I am leaning towards the Zeitwerk, as you may have guessed already; I personally find it a very intriguing and unique piece, the likes of which are not be seen with any other brands that I can think of; besides I already own Patek AC and PC i.e 5205G and 5159R; so this will be a very different and exciting acquisition, if I am able to. Maybe if my budget permits in a year or two, I will consider acquiring the Langematik PC.

It depends on what you are for: Traditional = PC, or original and then, Zeitwerk.
I would go for the PC. Because I am not very fan of the digital display of time, which reminds me the good old electric clocks. ;)

Lange 1 MP? My advice is to get neither piece.

I must've just drew a blank that day. Moonphase! Thanks drgiggles! I agree, the two watches are very different from another. I personally prefer the ZW. But I have to admit, that it's not a watch that I can recommend without reservations to someone else.....

I'm curious, what are the specific Zeitwerk reliability problems that you've experienced or heard about? I did have an issue with the Striking Time stopping shortly after I first got it. The problem hasn't recurred since Lange fixed it.
Disc switching mechanism...
Discs sometimes get misaligned. Watches sometimes fail to tell the correct time completely when discs seize/stuck.
Interesting and thanks. I hadn't heard that before. I wonder if it still happens...
