A question of youth-oriented would lead one to get something like AP or JLC. At least with JLC, you'll get a great movement with a robust case in a large case, and it can be had new for under 15k.
With PP, the Jumbo Nautilus was a stab at that market, but when collectors found out they'd be produced in limited numbers, everyone gobbled them up and made steel a "precious metal," like a Daytona.
I think it'd be great for PP to put out a new movement in an automatic 3-hand with date, but even if it were in a 42mm steel case on a bracelet, you would indeed - as everyone's pointed out - be pushing the 15k-20k ceiling.
I think PP is quite happy, right where it is, with the clientele they have right now. I think they're far more interested in blue-bloods than young-bloods, and the blue-bloods will always appreciate the name and will wait until they get to the position in life that they feel is right - whether with age or income - to purchase theirs.
Just my thoughts.
