Really?

"I would say to all the questions that you are asking : no ."

You don't let me much chance! smile

"No, because it is not necessary as the fascination for a great watch and jewellery can start at a very young age."

I admit, but there's a difference between fascination and actually thinking about wearing it. There are many watches that I find fascinating but that I would not wear as they are definitely not for me (I'm no longer young but not yet old).

"I know, and many also will do, a lot of friends who admired a 3119 when they just left puberty."

You kidding?  smile

"From my own experience: a golden Reverso was the first top brand watch that I liked at an age of 8, or so."

OK but later at 18 you had a chance to think about it, no? Really no?

"So there is no reason for a manufacturer of classic watches to offer a younger audience, when they wil come to them

anyway, if they can afford it of course."

Well, I'm not so sure about that.

"The current Nautilus range, WG calatravas are young enough, I would say."

I don't think the Nautilus is a watch for young men. I don't think either that a white gold 5196 is anyway younger than a pink gold 5196. They are both classical watches, very beautiful but dressed if not formal, and definitely coming from past designs.

"Anything younger, less expensive would not be PP or serious jewellery anymore."

I've asked "younger" I've never asked less expensive. It's only a design matter for me, not a question of price point. I don't think the fact that they are dressed or formal make the PP Calatrava models anymore expensive. Only their quality do so, and I don't want a "PP for the young" to be any less qualitative.

"I mentioned it in an earlier post before: the term "entry level" sounds quite awkward."

Well, the lesser priced PP watch is obviously positioned as the entry level PP. It's just a matter of price level in the range.

"Any PP is an exceptionally beautiful watch, regardless the price, complication or "market value"."

Sure.

"I associate the brand with descretion, understatement and elegance and that is not a matter of being 16 or 60"

Sure again, but you can be young and all that at the same time.

Cheers
