Thank you for the balanced analysis. I have to say, I was disappointed by the new collection. Not that I dislike it, I actually think people will get used to the design and it will be appreciated undoubtedly.
It is more the fact that a new Model Range was expected not a merely square Nautilus... The Nautilus' design was harmonious and balanced, why try to gimmick it with a square shape ?
AP when launching the Code range have gone out of the Royal Oak, what would have fans thought, if the "Code" new collection was a square Royal Oak (that actually has existed but you get my point) ?
I honestly think the Calatrava Pilot range was more a original and out of the "comfort zone" range proposed by Patek.
In the end this model reminds of the Reverso Squadra which was not a greatest hit in the JLC range, or a Cartier Santos Dumont. Patek should have created something audacious then redesigning their successful Nautilus range.

Expectations, the hype was too high.
I was expecting a whole new line and maybe a shaped movement. If they said it would be a Nautilus 2.0 or maybe nautilus2 (squared). Then the watch is totally fine. The only criticism would be maybe a little too big for some (including my wrist). Francis
If this was released at palexpo with the other 2024 models I think they'd have been well received.

I am surprised at all of this. T. Stern has a tantrum and decides he doesn't want to be a "one-watch" brand, so he ends his bread and butter Nautilus and Aquanaut models. This did not do anything, except to discourage Patek customers and future customers....
