While I am warming up to the square shape which I had not expected, I also want to see them in the metal ASAP before passing judgement. Previously in another reply, I wrote that when I tried on the AP Code 11:59, I noticed the octagon middle section under the round dial that represented the RO lineage. To me, similar to the Code containing RO's DNA, Cuitbus has the DNA of Nautilus (which is the sporty genes of Patek) but in a stronger manner than the Code. Personally I think Cubitus will gain momentum when Cubitus becomes an "acquired taste" as collectors try them in the metal. Time will tell.

Expectations, the hype was too high.
I was expecting a whole new line and maybe a shaped movement. If they said it would be a Nautilus 2.0 or maybe nautilus2 (squared). Then the watch is totally fine. The only criticism would be maybe a little too big for some (including my wrist). Francis
If this was released at palexpo with the other 2024 models I think they'd have been well received.

I am surprised at all of this. T. Stern has a tantrum and decides he doesn't want to be a "one-watch" brand, so he ends his bread and butter Nautilus and Aquanaut models. This did not do anything, except to discourage Patek customers and future customers....
Thank you for the balanced analysis. I have to say, I was disappointed by the new collection. Not that I dislike it, I actually think people will get used to the design and it will be appreciated undoubtedly.
