Ive personally not cared for either the Nautilus or Aquanaut.
Have owned and sold a full gold bracelet Nautilus before the hype and the only regret is that I could’ve sold it at a higher(insane) price point.
But hey, that is my view on the Nautilus and Aquanaut and i am clearly in the minority.
Without personally trying the watch, I believe it will be difficult to make a conclusive decision unless you really hate it at first sight.
This range doesn’t seem as attractive to me as say, the Roger Dubuis Golden Square. That said, I find the 2 tone the best design of the 3.
Reminds me of those 70s watches like the square over sized Omega Constellation with an integrated bracelet I once used to own. That too evoked a marmite reaction amongst my friends.
No comment on price point but the use of a round movement in a square case seems a missed opportunity.

Expectations, the hype was too high.
I was expecting a whole new line and maybe a shaped movement. If they said it would be a Nautilus 2.0 or maybe nautilus2 (squared). Then the watch is totally fine. The only criticism would be maybe a little too big for some (including my wrist). Francis
If this was released at palexpo with the other 2024 models I think they'd have been well received.
I was also expecting a shaped movement, quick change straps/bracelet, and one of their silicon projects to show up.

I am surprised at all of this. T. Stern has a tantrum and decides he doesn't want to be a "one-watch" brand, so he ends his bread and butter Nautilus and Aquanaut models. This did not do anything, except to discourage Patek customers and future customers....
