the whole aviation industry, not just UA change the way how they do their business!
I'm certainly not a lawyer nor do I pretend to be, but if I may, find this whole business of overbooking, "re-accommodating" et cetra a 'misrepresentation' or sorts.
Bout time the consumers pressure/lobby the airlines to change their fine print.
In my industry, we look at root causes, learn from what we find and take appropriate actions that it does not ever happen again.
But from what I read and digest so far is, "that should not have happened", "it should have been handled differently", "UA is morally wrong" and the likes...
And to top it off, we have condoned that this business of overbooking and being "de-planed" is acceptable.
It is certainly not acceptable and laws should be written around protecting consumers, in this case, aviation passengers.
