Lying airlines...

 

An airline can't lie to you like that.  That's terrible.  If a flight is cancelled for weather reasons that's one thing; but to lie to you and tell you it's cancelled in order not to pay you your deserved compensation for an overbooked flight, that's just horrendous.  I can't imagine why the employee would do that, it's not like they're incentivized to do so.
