I don't understand why the most advanced regions of this planet, have the worst airline services ever.
Every time I need to fly local/regional trips, I think about this matter.
Do they look around (Asia is my reference) to see how the others do?
Old and dirty planes. Ridicule "business seats", lousy food and drinks, angry flight attendants and the list goes.

Lack of competition is one factor. Airlines enjoy narrow oligopolies, and sometimes monopolies on some routes.
