Great post Mark!
When I was looking for my first Patek, the 6000g wasn't even on my shortlist. I hardly saw any pictures of it online - other icons like the Nautilus, worldtimers, ACs and PCs dominated the spotlight.
This was until I saw one in the metal. I fell in love in it immediately even though its design codes were bordering on rebellious and maverick (as far as Patek goes anyway).
It was a difficult decision to take the plunge because my head kept insisting that I should choose a model that is more "faithful" to the brand's tradition.
In the end, I listened to my heart... With no regrets! (Your detailed review on the blue 6000g definitely helped a lot too!)
