That imho emphasized how much different we are all
and how we see each references. The ones that would please us the most are not always the ones we see most or think of at first.
But I think that flaws are not seen the same way, depending on how we like a watch at first and how we can get used to or enjoy it after a while, how the flaw is included in the overall picture. The difference between a charm and just something we can't like after a while.
Even though I see opinions about 41mm and over are too big, I also think that it depends on the watch. For instance, I find the De Bethune DB25 (around 45mm) very nice in that size. They launched afterwards a 40mm version that I didn't like as much.
I would tend to think the 5070 would look better in 42 than in 40mm.
But yes we can forgive more easely when watches are well designed.
I love the 5170 too (even if I think I still have a preference for the 5070).
That's why, though it may be hard, I think it is important to try them and to give others pieces their chance
Thanks for chimming in Karl.
