Do not pay attention to anyone at all. If it's your dream watch, it is you and only you that matters. Go for it. If it makes you happy, go for it. There are guys on this forum who are obsessed by watch size. The only thing that matters is whether you like... 

Size is no different to shape, material or any other watch property. It's a personal matter of taste. Buying watches is such a personal (even egoistic) pleasure for me. If I like it, can afford it and can get the Mrs to approve it, that's all that matters... 

Size is a very subjective issue. I wear watches from 36mm to 45mm. The most important question is: Does the watch make me smile?

I am worrying about the fit of the bracelet, will that fit my wrist after I remove all the links or it will still be loose? Anyway I will try to sort it out!

My wrist is exactly the same size as yours. I personally don't like the watch edges to extend beyond my wrist but I don't mind it too much if it is edge to edge on the wrist, a bit like what you have shown here. In my opinion it looks a little bit big on ...

I have a thin wrist too so size is a familiar dilemma for me (although I did not have the pleasure of debating something as amazing as your potential future Nautilus). When I bought watches which were outside my comfort zone size-wise, they felt "normal" ... 

If you are in love, and it is comfortable to wear, go for it.

And a strong willed person ought to make his or her own decision! This isn't a decision by a committee, this is a personal watch for you, to be decided by you! I'm not a "Fashion Policeman" but the watch looks fine on your wrist to my eyes. One last thing... 

If you see it as a classic watch then it is rather big, but as a sports model no issues at all.

First, listen to YOUR heart ! Of course it is normal to ask to have confidence in YOUR taste and choice ! It happens that you are Lucky : whatever you decide there is no risk : either you wait and the only risk is to pay a bit more... or you pull the trig... 

As wrist shots tend to "enlarge" the watch, I think this one is ok for u.. bear in mind that the watch is accompanying you as a whole so it won't be look nearly as big as when you focus on the watch in a wrist shot.. Also the watch is 40 from 1 to 7.. as ...

It accentuates the size of the watch. A looser cuff might help and draw less attention to the wrist size.

In my view, a watch should cover 2/3 or 3/4 of the "wrist space". The watch you showed covers all of your wrist. This watch might be too big for you. Dont hesitate to consider the currently unpopular 33-36mm Pateks, there might be some bargains. Dont foll...

I complete agree. Beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder. Having said that I think that this new photo looks fantastic.

....the main issue with wrist size is actually the bracelet and clasp. With small wrists, like mine, it is sometimes difficult to get a proper fit, esp when the links or deployant are larger. Just a case of trial and error (and self discipline to tear you... 

As I said wristshots can't be misleading.. the nautilus does wear smaller due to the case shape.. So should be fine

Nice jacket, btw! As for the Nautilus, have you by any chance considered the 5800? It is a 38mm time and date only Nautilus which might be perfect for what you have in mind. Not to say that the 5712 isn´t, but just something that addresses the watch size ...

I was going to suggest looking for a 3712 if you like the look of the 5712 but find it a little too big. However looking at the price difference I would stick to the 5712.

If a watch is purely something to be worn as a display of wealth then you could argue the bigger and shinier the better. If the main purpose is to look elegant then you would want something in proportion with your wrist. If it is a celebration of the engi...
