Agreed! Timing is a little late...

Timing is too late. Pricing is also a little high that they scared some people away. They could've started with a lower price perhaps and raised it a bit as the watch caught on - although this pisses off customers too. But lots of good points as always! Richemont definitely found a lot of growth at Cartier and in the high end (Lange and VC saw big revenue increases). But in this medium end, things were a less explosive (JLC did relatively well supposedly, but precise numbers aren't available due to the fact that Richemont doesn't break it down to this detail). It's kind of like wine, the high end sells well. The low-end sells well. The medium end is sometimes in a purgatory - great wines at fair prices. But who wants that in a luxury product? They want something really special at a really high price!
