When Chopard came out with the Alpine Eagle, I thought it was very good. Almost perfect. But I said to them, change some minor details and put in the L.U.C. 1.96 movement, and I'd buy it. Well. They did just that! And they increased the price from $14,100 USD to $22,500 USD. About 50%. Nobody complained, as to have a Geneva Sealed movement that's similar level to Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin is worth that premium to most people's eyes. It also elevates that watch to a much higher level overall. So I would say that IWC's current watch is very good, but they'll come out with an even better version. Some dial and case refinements. A slightly better movement will be put in, the price increased a bit, and that'll be the one that will appease a lot of the members on WPS!
